## About

A science-fiction drama by Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda (2026), starring Haruka Ayase and Daigo Yamamoto. Devastated by the loss of their son, a couple in the near future take in a humanoid robot with the same appearance and voice as their deceased child. Their attempt to overcome their grief raises questions about the nature of love, memory and the role of modern technology — can artificial intelligence replace a human presence? Selected for the official competition of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
