## About

In the trenches of the First World War, two young Belgian soldiers find emotional support and tenderness in one another as they struggle to survive the absurd, harsh reality around them. Director Lukas Dhont's new film explores the thin line between fear and courage, asking whether fleeing the front is an act of weakness — or of self-affirmation. A drama (Belgium/France/Netherlands, 2026), selected for the official competition at Cannes.
