Hi!

We have lived in Bulgaria for several years, and we know all its cities are full of interesting events. But finding out about them means piecing it together from a thousand different sources. Now and then something happens right around the corner, and you never even hear about it.

We missed a place where it is all gathered together. So we decided to fix that and made our own city listing.

That is how TUKA began — a place to see what is happening here and now, plan your weekend and even look a few months ahead.

We thought long about the site's name, and we think it says a lot in one word. After all, TUKA literally means “HERE” in Bulgarian.

Besides, TUKA turned out to be more than a good name. As we worked on it, we realised it was a name — someone's name.

And so TUKA got a character. Lively, curious and always ready to suggest something interesting.

We started with Sofia, because we live here. But we want TUKA to come to other cities too — each with its own character, culture and events.

After all, he always knows where the music is playing tonight, what opens tomorrow, where to go with the kids and how to make good use of your free time.

All that's left for us is to choose!
