Let Us Clean the Memory of Bulgarian Theatre

The initiative "Let Us Clean the Memory of Bulgarian Theatre" is organized by the Union of Bulgarian Artists in partnership with Sofia Municipality and NATFIZ. First-year students from the "Acting for Drama Theatre" and "Acting for Puppet Theatre" programs clean the graves in the old Alley of Creators at Sofia's Central Cemetery, where notable Bulgarian theatre figures such as Apostol Karamitev, Margarita Duparinova, Stoyanka Mutafova, Nevena Kokanova and Krastyo Sarafov are buried. The purpose is to pass on to young artists a lesson in respecting the memory of earlier generations of theatre creators. The initiative has been held annually since 2024.
