The Echo Between Us

A psychological drama directed by Andrea Pallaoro, based on a final original story by Bernardo Bertolucci, starring Alicia Vikander, Luca Marinelli and Susan Sarandon. Leo and Ann become entangled in a web of love, care, shared illusions and toxic dependency — far from the outside world, in the claustrophobic space of a single apartment, their spoken words and unresolved traumas echo back at them until their refuge turns into a trap. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and is part of the official selection at BFI London 2026.
