Tango Piazzolla

This large-scale musical production, marking the 106th anniversary of Astor Piazzolla's birth, brings together musicians connected to Piazzolla's own legacy and renowned performers to tell the story of tango not just through music, but through the composer's living heritage. On stage are Piazzolla's grandson, drummer Daniel Astor Piazzolla ("Pipi"), conductor and violinist Maestro Vesko Eshkenazi, Bulgarian bandoneon player Stoyan Karaivanov, Latin Grammy-winning double bassist Juan Pablo Navarro, Bulgaria's first tango orchestra "Libertango," dancers Nikolay Dzhurov and Dalia Dimitrova, and singer Venelina Boneva. The program includes Piazzolla's iconic works alongside new arrangements, including tango classics such as "La Cumparsita" and "El Choclo" performed in Piazzolla's own arrangement for the first time in Bulgaria.
