Private Screening

"Private Screening" is a tragicomedy by the French playwright Remi de Vos, translated by Svetlana Pancheva and directed by Boil Banov, who also created the musical arrangement. At its centre is a family for whom the television becomes a "third member," as the line between reality and illusion gradually blurs. Words fly like slaps, love drowns in advertisements, and stars die on television — the play mixes farce and tragedy, laughter and sudden seriousness, presenting love as both absurd and tragic at once. The cast includes Stefka Yanorova, Gergana Pletnyova and Georgi Karkelanov, with set and costume design by Yuliana Voykova-Naydenova. The production plays on the Chamber Stage "Mirakul."
