Songs of Disconnection

A concert performance by the Belgian company NEEDCOMPANY, presented for Toplocentrala's fifth anniversary. Maarten Seghers looks for meaning in incomprehensibility with an abstract libretto that wavers between engagement and indifference. On stage are musicians Aya Suzuki, Simon Lenski, George van Dam and Michael Schmid, who question music itself and arrive at sound as physical matter.
