Footnotes

The play follows the well-known actress Yulia Znepolska and her three daughters — the twins Bilyana and Bistra, and the rebellious Nina — whose gathering is joined by two more women. What begins as a family celebration turns into a merciless arena for battles postponed for years, silenced truths, unshared secrets, accumulated grievances and unbearable guilt between mothers and daughters. "Footnotes" is a playful take on contemporary life that asks whether love can prevail over generational conflict.
