The Green Bird

The Green Bird is a philosophical fairy tale by the world-famous Italian playwright Carlo Gozzi, told with great imagination, poetry and meaning. It follows the abandoned twins Barbarina and Renzo, who grow wealthy through magic but lose their virtues along the way, then must pass through trials to find the legendary green bird. In the end love conquers all: the bird turns out to be their bewitched mother, and the sorcerer who guided them is their father. The musical is suitable for children over 10 and for family audiences.
