Rivals — Opera Concert

An opera concert in which soprano Gabriela Georgieva and mezzo-soprano Gergana Rusekova, accompanied on piano by Yolanta Smolyanova, alternate arias and duets from landmark opera scores — including works by Rossini, Bellini, Verdi, Wagner, Saint-Saëns, Puccini, Cilea, Tchaikovsky and Ponchielli. Staged in the Chamber Hall of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, the programme builds a dialogue — and a rivalry — between the two voices through the heroines they portray.
