Grounded — Premiere

The Bulgarian premiere of Grounded, a monodrama by American playwright George Brant, staged by Theatre 199 under director Nadya Pancheva and performed by Boryana Yovcheva. The play follows a fighter pilot reassigned to operate remote-controlled drones — twelve-hour shifts striking targets from an air base, followed by an equal stretch of ordinary family life at home, torn between these two incompatible worlds. It explores the cost of choice, moral responsibility, and the resilience of the human psyche in the face of war's consequences.
