Nestinari (Fire Dancers) – guest performance by the Burgas State Puppet Theatre

A guest production by the Burgas State Puppet Theatre: "Nestinari" (Fire Dancers), a visual physical-theatre piece conceived and directed by Petar Todorov, choreography by Petya Stoykova, set design by Hanna Schwarz. The Burgas puppeteers turn to nestinarstvo — the ancient Bulgarian fire-walking ritual tied to beliefs about purification through fire. Wordless, driven by powerful physical and visual imagery, the show speaks to our connection with roots, tradition and collective cleansing.
