Avenue Q

“Avenue Q” is a Broadway musical for adults, staged at the Sofia Puppet Theatre under license from Music Theatre International (Europe). Music and lyrics are by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, directed by West Hyler (USA) and Petar Kaukov. With humor, the musical tackles sensitive issues of our time — racism, xenophobia, the gay community, the porn industry — turning them into good-natured jokes that lead toward recognizing and overcoming prejudice. It is also a playful parable about growing up and a sharp satire on young people who must take personal responsibility for their lives as adults.
