DisruptHR Sofia vol.7 'Old Times'

The Sofia edition of DisruptHR, the global HR-and-culture format held in 173 cities worldwide under the motto "teach me something, but do it quickly." At Joy Station, 15 speakers each get exactly 5 minutes with slides changing every 15 seconds — no ads, no censorship, just rapid-fire ideas meant to entertain, provoke thought and spark debate. The seventh edition's theme, "Old Times," looks back at pre-digital lessons — cassette tapes, dial-up internet, landline phones, waiting for film to develop — as reminders of values easy to forget: conserving resources, patience, simple joy, real human connection, self-reliance and the importance of community, deliberately steering clear of buzzwords like AI, influencers and digitalisation. It's a live-only event for around 700 people, with no streaming, and the surprises on stage are never known in advance.
