The Warlock

A comedy by St. L. Kostov, staged by the Melpomena Theatre Formation and directed by Georgi Stoilov, starring Lyubomir Neykov, Stanimir Gamov, Petyo Petkov-Shaybata, Albena Pavlova and Nevena Bozukova. A con man arrives in a picturesque Bulgarian village and convinces the mayor, the priest and two of its most prominent young women that a "river of gold" is about to flow their way. The gullible villagers take the bait, form a joint-stock company, and end up swindled to the last penny.
