Kinomania 40: Josephine

Eight-year-old Josephine witnesses a brutal crime in a city park. The dramatic thriller explores, with remarkable psychological depth, a child's perception of violence — her fear and inner struggle — and the trauma her family tries to cope with, asking what it means to be a good, understanding parent in a crisis. Directed by Beth de Araujo (USA, 2026), the film was part of the official competition at the Berlin International Film Festival. The screening is part of the Kinomania film festival at NDK.
