Kaleidoscope

Piano, clarinet, gadulka and voice bring together the musical worlds of Bulgaria and France. On 5 November, the festival "Musical Icon Painters – The Sound of the City" presents the concert spectacle "Kaleidoscope" at Sofia Live Club — a bold journey between folklore, classical music and contemporary musical imagination. Four musicians follow four different creative paths between Bulgaria and France, creating a rarely heard sound in which two musical traditions begin a dialogue and gradually turn into something new, free and unbound by genre borders. The performance weaves Bulgarian folk songs together with French classical works by Francis Poulenc and Darius Milhaud.
