Happy Together - Unhappy Together | ICAR 2026 Nomination

A performance in which three women literally cook on stage — and whatever they prepare, they serve to the audience. Concept, direction and choreography are by Teodora Popova, text by Stoyan Radev, music by Hristo Chuchkov (with fragments of Debussy and Hungarian folk music), and set and costumes by Elitsa Georgieva. Three dance stars — Mila Iskrenova, Yasmine Rade and Teodora Popova — blur the line between classical and contemporary dance while cooking, and the piece playfully asks "But is this art?", promising audiences they won't leave empty-handed.
