A documentary by director Kaloyan Nikolov about the aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster and how it reached Bulgaria. Because information was withheld, in May 1986 Bulgarians remained unaware of the possible health risks of eating dairy, meat and vegetables — a period that came to be known as "the Bulgarian Chernobyl." The film traces the facts, eyewitness accounts and public reactions, from the initial silence through the anxieties and controversies that followed — a story about memory, trust and lessons that remain relevant today.
