Alexander Malofeev and Nayden Todorov

Acclaimed young Russian pianist Alexander Malofeev returns to Bulgaria Hall for a concert with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Naiden Todorov. The program features Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1 for piano, trumpet and strings (with trumpeter Peter Makedonski) — a work of wit, irony and lyricism — alongside Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony, Rudolf Barshai's arrangement of one of the composer's most personal and dramatic scores.
