De Profundis is a solo performance built on Oscar Wilde's final work, written during his imprisonment. It explores themes of love, betrayal, suffering, and personal truth, showing how art and fidelity to oneself preserve human dignity in the face of social prejudice and the invisible constraints of conformity. Wilde's prison confession is presented both as a personal document and as a universal message against the oppression of those who are different, and the performance weaves in fragments from The Ballad of Reading Gaol and Salomé, along with excerpts from the actual trial transcripts against the writer.
