In the Gardens of the Alhambra

A chamber concert in the "Arts Salon" series at NDK, built around Spanish music inspired by Andalusia. Soprano Maryana Panova, pianist Nadezhda Tsanova and guitarist Asen Mitev perform works by Manuel de Falla, Joaquín Turina, Fernando Obradors and Pauline Viardot — composers from different eras who all drew on Spanish folklore and the spirit of the south. The title evokes the meeting of cultures and traditions typical of Andalusia, as the guitar's authentically Spanish character blends with the piano's harmonic depth and the singer's expressive interpretation — an evening for lovers of chamber music.
