Karen Gomyo and Viliana Valcheva

Violinist Karen Gomyo is the soloist in Alexander Glazunov's Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 82, while conductor Viliana Valcheva leads the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Choir in Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 2, "Hymn of Praise" ("Lobgesang"), Op. 52 — a large-scale work for soloists, mixed choir and orchestra. The evening pairs a virtuosic Romantic violin concerto with a grand choral symphony, performed by leading Bulgarian musical ensembles at Bulgaria Hall.
