CineLibri 2026 – It Will Happen Tonight

"It Will Happen Tonight" is the new film by Nanni Moretti, inspired by stories from Eshkol Nevo's collection "Hungry Heart." It follows Matteo and Greta across several stages of their lives — a chance meeting on a Roman tennis court that turns into a series of unexpected re-encounters, at a Bruce Springsteen concert in San Sebastián, in a Roman café — as both navigate their own marriages and uncertainties. An elegantly composed drama about chance meetings, lost and found love, and the wayward logic of the heart, the film was nominated for the Golden Lion at Venice and screened at the Toronto and San Sebastián film festivals. The screening is part of the Cinelibri 2026 film festival.
