Morphine by Mikhail Bulgakov

This theatrical and visual solo performance is based on Mikhail Bulgakov's autobiographical novella, written in 1917, in which he reveals his secret dependence on morphine. It explores the place of the individual in the world and the disintegration of the self in the struggle between reason and emotion, the divine and the earthly. It is staged in Bulgaria for the first time, directed by Kristina Belomorska and performed by Petar Petrov – Pero. The production won an Ikar Award in the Debut category.
