About
For the first time this October, Bulgaria welcomes Stephan Konrad Niederwieser with an introductory event on NARM® (the NeuroAffective Relational Model) — a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Laurence Heller that integrates attachment theory with psychodynamic, somatic and humanistic perspectives. The model focuses on the unconscious beliefs and identifications that continue to organize our lives, asking not only 'what happened to you' but also 'how do your beliefs about yourself shape your present experience'. This two-day introductory seminar focuses on working with chronic shame and guilt — described as 'two of the deepest and most persistent consequences of developmental trauma' — and explores how childhood survival adaptations become embedded in the nervous system and in our relational patterns. Stephan Konrad Niederwieser is a psychotherapist and NARM Master Practitioner with extensive experience combining NARM with Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing and Compassionate Inquiry, and co-author with Dr. Heller of a book on healing chronic shame and guilt. The seminar is aimed at psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, coaches and somatic practitioners, but is also suitable for anyone interested in developmental trauma and the NARM approach.
