Shegobishko on the Island of Wonders

A children's musical with music by Georgi Kostov and libretto by Yordan Milev — a warm-hearted tale about friendship and adventure. Young Shegobishko and his friend Okay Okay travel to the Island of Wonders, where three bumbling robbers disguise themselves as noble sailors to dig up a buried treasure. The children beat them to it and sail the chest home — only to discover that the real treasure is a few priceless words written on an old piece of leather, words that only the performers know and will reveal to the children in the audience. Recommended for kids aged 3 and up, it makes for a lovely family outing to the opera.
