Talk: The Old Sofia Cinemas with Viktor Topalov

A talk on some of Sofia's best-known cinemas from the late 19th and first half of the 20th century, from the first film screenings in hotels, barracks and cafés to halls such as Modern Theatre, Odeon, Vlaikova and Renaissance. It also draws on the memories of Vasil and Zhana Gendov about the first Bulgarian films, and closes with a prize quiz.
