The Awakening of the Dead — Premiere

"The Awakening of the Dead" is a metaphysical performance built from the verses and letters of deceased poets, authored and directed by Ivan Dobchev. Its textual and poetic foundation comes from Lyudmil Dimitrov, taking as its starting point the final scene of Henrik Ibsen's "When We Dead Awaken." The piece invites the audience to encounter the voices of departed poets, brought back to life on stage.
