Diary of a Madman

A one-man show based on Nikolai Gogol's classic story, directed by Nina Dimitrova and starring Steliyan Radev as the petty clerk Aksentiy Ivanovich Poprishchin. His vivid imagination casts him in turn as a great king, a brilliant artist, an angry rebel and a hopeless lover, while the objects around him come to life — leaving the audience to wonder who is really mad: the hero or the world around him. A co-production with Teatar Kredo, the show has been praised as an inspired blend of inimitable humor, captivating invention and touching lyricism.
