Historical tram “Memory”
11:00 · The Lions' Bridge square · Център
The square covers the junction around the Lions' Bridge — a stone arch bridge over the Vladaya River, 32 metres long and 18 metres wide, built between 1889 and 1891 by Czech architect Václav Prošek, his brother Jozef and their cousins Bohdan and Jiří. The name comes from the four bronze lion sculptures at its ends; since a 2014 reconstruction only trams and pedestrians cross it. It links the Central Railway Station with the city centre, and since 2012 the Lavov Most metro station on line M2 has served the square.
Reach the square by metro to Lavov Most station (lines M2 and M4), right by the bridge, or by tram along Knyaginya Maria Luiza Blvd.
